How to spend three days in Toronto – a quick guide to exploring Toronto

Toronto is the biggest city in Canada and is a world-famous tourist destination. It is home to a range of interesting sites such as museums, magnificent architecture, shopping centres, and more. If you’ve only got three days in Toronto, it’s still possible to see all of these attractions if you know how to plan your trip right. If you’re lucky and plan well in advance, you will also be able to squeeze in a trip to Niagara falls within these three days.

 Day One – A quick tour

Your first day in Toronto will be best spent by getting a feel of what the city has to offer. The most ideal way to explore all of the best things to do in Toronto is to get on a hop on hop off tour bus. But before you do this, start your day by having a wholesome breakfast at Pan Pacific Toronto or one of the local coffee shops. Then you can make your way to Yonge-Dunas Square where you can hop on the tour bus. The ticker for this tour will transport you around the whole city and will also include a narrated guide of the places that you will visit. The ticket is also valid for three days, so you can always come back for more. Some of the key attractions that you will come across during this tour include the CN Tower, the Royal Ontario Museum, and the Eaton Centre. There is also a boat tour that you are entitled to as a part of the tour. Once you finish the tour, you can spend the afternoon and evening exploring the shopping and dining scenes the city has to offer. For example, the 360 Restaurant is a place that most tourists like to dine at.

 Day 2 – A closer look

While day one gave you a quick glimpse of what Toronto has to offer, your second day in the city will be the best spent taking a closer look at the attractions that you are most interested in. You can spend hours exploring Ripley’s Aquarium or marvel at the wonders at Hearst Castle. If you’d rather get an authentic taste of the city, you may want to explore some of the interesting parts of Toronto such as Cabbagetown and Greek Town. If you are a fan of theatre, you may even come across some interesting plays that are currently on air. The best time to check out the theatres in Toronto is after dinner. Another great thing to do to end your second day in Toronto is to find a location that offers a panoramic view of the city.

 Day 3 – Off to the falls

If you feel like you’ve had enough of the city, your third day in Toronto can be dedicated to exploring the world-famous Niagara Falls. This is only three hours away from the city centre. However, depending on the day of the week, there could be a lot of early morning traffic in the city that you will have to get through. While the main attraction is the mammoth waterfall in Niagara, the region itself is very interesting to explore. When you are at the falls, you will want to go towards the boardwalk that takes you around the Niagara Gorge. Lastly, you may want to take a ferry ride that will take passengers through the mist of the falls. Every passenger is given ponchos for safety against the water. Niagara-on-the-lake and Clifton Hill are two other destinations that you can visit in the region.

 During your three days in the region, it is best to stay in a hotel in Toronto. This will give you easy access to anywhere you want to go
