How to get around in Suzhou - A Chinese endeavour

 If you are planning on going to Suzhou, China anytime soon and want to know about getting around and exploring Suzhou, here is how you do so.

Sanshan island

If you want to take a break from the urban touring and travelling in Suzhou, China, this island is where you must head to. The place has a dark history as it was home to some of the most dangerous criminals in China back in the day, but now it is home to a quaint little fishing town that has about 250 houses in total. Some of the things you can get up to while on this island are taking a walk along the coast while you watch the fishermen sail out to the sea and toss the net into the sea. It would be quite interesting for you to watch as they still use the traditional and ancient methods of fishing

Taihu lake

This place is home to a lovely lakeside area and there are many fun things for you to do. Taihu Lake area is also known to be one of the best getaway areas by the water body if you are looking for a quiet getaway in a lovely little place. The Taihu Lake area is also home to Pan Pacific Suzhou and many a similar hotel in Suzhou China. Taihu Lake is the third-largest freshwater lake in the country and has a great many visitors flocking to it during all parts of the year. Fishing and agriculture is the main source f income for the people living in this part of China. If you get a bus from the Suzhou city centre, you can have a fun day trip that will cost you less than 5 RMB per person. Spending time watching the sunset by the lake is also a romantic thing you can do during your holiday if you are there with a loved one.

Guangfu

This is one of the most scenic areas in this part of China. Located in the western corner of the lake, you will be able to take a look at the ministry, a temple and a pagoda here. Being a natural attraction, this place attracts a lot of visitors on a daily basis. Close by you will also see a village within walking distance from one attraction to another. By using bus numbers 63 to 65, you can get to this scenic area with no trouble at all. If you are the kind of person that loves spending time under the sun and exploring the historic part of any place you are travelling to, pack yourself a picnic basket and head to Guangfu.

Xishan Mountain

The local folklore says that, many many years ago, a princess left her rich life and palace to marry a man her father did not approve of. The King heard of the wedding, and in rage, murdered the husband right after the wedding. Engulfed in tears and sorrow, the princess then shed so many tears that it created Lake Dianchi. The legend also states that, after the sad demise of the princess, she herself took the form of the mountain, which is now known as Xishan mountain. The story behind this mountain might be sad and dark, but the place is amazing and is a gorgeous place to visit. The place round Xishan mountain has many places to explore, like the Huating Temple, the Taihua Temple and the Longmeng Pass. Watching the sunset by the Longmeng Pass is a fun thing both the locals and tourists love to do when here. Make sure you pack a picnic basket to make this trip more fun.
